Investigation Researchers

We are currently recruiting for Investigation Researchers based in Sheffield. 

Pay rate: £20.98 per hour PAYE/ £26.65 per hour Umbrella

Hours: Core hours fall between 7am–5pm with flexibility– Hybrid working (ideally 3 days in Sheffield / 2 days from home)

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Duties:

• Maintain knowledge of the current systems and software used and interacted with by the Client
• Programme as well as nationally across all police forces.
• Research information to add to reports and performance products to inform decision making and direct operational activity.
• Produce, evaluate and take responsibility for production of regular force information and reports.
• Liaise with and work in partnership with other organisations to gather and research information.
• Collect, collate and evaluate data from a wide range of open and closed sources.
• Produce accurate and easy to use reports which contribute to products produced by analysts.
• Reading and categorising large amounts of material relating to child sexual abuse and exploitation which is sensitive in nature.
• Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management.

Essential Experience:

• Experience of researching and collating data
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of performance and intelligence management processes and techniques

Desirable Experience:

• A working knowledge of Evidence Based Policing principles and policing systems e.g. niche, connect, Athena, PND, PNC.
