We are currently recruiting for a Forensics Submissions and Intelligence Officer based in Preston.
Pay rate: £13.84 per hour (paid weekly)
Location: Preston, Lancashire – Office based
Hours: Full time position
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
Purpose: To provide a customer focused service within the Forensic Submissions and Intelligence Team, evaluating forensic work requests, providing advice to police officers on forensic services and producing forensic intelligence and research.
Essential Criteria:
- Scientific or forensic experience in relation to crime investigation
- Experience of dealing with people in difficult situations at all levels
- Experience of monitoring, maintaining and interrogating computerised systems
- Experience of building and maintaining internal and external partnerships
- Demonstrate accurate and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate self-motivation and willingness to develop self within role
- Experience of contributing effectively as part of a team
- Experience of working with minimum supervision
- Experience of assessing and identifying relevant information in order to make effective decisions and take appropriate actions
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Community Race Relations and Data Protection legislation/issues
