Coroner’s Service Court Clerk – HALTED

We are currently recruiting for a Coroner’s Service Court Clerk in Cheshire.

Pay rate: 11.69 per hour.

Hours:  The post will be a variable hours position. You will work on days when the court is sitting.

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Purpose:

To act as Court Clerk to H.M. Senior Coroner, Area Coroners and Assistant Coroners for the client’s area.

Duties: 

• To attend court with the Coroner.
• To be responsible for the smooth running of the court at inquest hearings.
• Ensure that all witnesses are present and that everybody is seated in court on time.
• In inquests when the Coroner is sitting with a jury you will be responsible for administrative arrangements at court in relation to the jurors.
• Be responsible for operating the court recording equipment at all inquest hearings.
