We are currently recruiting for a Harm Assessment Support Officer in Worcester.
Pay rate: £16,898 – £18,166 per annum.
Hours: Part time position (22.5hrs per week).
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing.
Purpose:
The main purpose of Harm Assessment Support Officer is to research, evaluate and assist with referrals and notifications, by providing an appropriate response to the continual assessment of high-risk critical information. Maintain relevant case management systems and provide administrative support to the Harm Assessment Unit.
Duties:
- To review, administer and prioritise referrals and notifications made to the Harm Assessment Unit from within the organisation, ensuring that risk assessments and referrals are responded to appropriately according to the risks identified within a timely manner.
- To conduct research on cases following requests for information and provide such information in accordance with national guidance and locally agreed protocols.
- To receive, record and coordinate notifications from the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP), carrying out research/lateral checks and sharing information as required and in line with national guidelines and locally agreed protocols.
- To receive, record and coordinate Police referrals into the Domestic Abuse ‘Multi-Agency Risk Management Conference’ (MARAC). Receive, record and coordinate notifications received from MARAC, carry out research/lateral checks as required and in line with national guidelines and locally agreed protocols.
- To review and up-date relevant Case Management and other systems as required and in compliance with legislation, including the carrying out of data quality/integrity audits and data cleansing.
- To receive, coordinate and administer PVP-related ‘warning’ or ‘preventative markers, including Address Flagging, Non-Molestation Orders, Restraining Orders and Domestic Abuse Personal Alarms, liaising with other departments as necessary to ensure Force systems are updated appropriately.
- To assist in the production of management and statistical information concerning the Protection of Vulnerable People as directed.
- To provide guidance to police personnel and external agencies on internal processes and procedures relating to Protecting Vulnerable People.
