We are currently recruiting for a Health Research Assistant in Manchester.

 

Pay rate: £13.73 per hour.

Hours:  Part time position (21 hrs over 3 full days)

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing.

 

Purpose:

The role holder will research requests made for health information for adults who have been referred to the client. This will involve the research of NHS health systems to provide quality, timely information for the citizen within the safeguarding processes. This will require a high degree of concentration & processing highly confidential citizen-related information.

The role requires the deployment of efficient administrative, communication and interpersonal skills together with a good knowledge of IT and ideally health systems. A high level of concentration and communication skills is required by the role holder.

 

Duties: 

  • To gather relevant health information to support the decision-making process to ensure that citizens can achieve their agreed outcomes.
  • Work within the health team making telephone calls and electronic enquiries / data searches by accessing numerous IT systems and health care databases.
  • Coordinate the health team’s activities in responding to enquiries, working to time scales as directed by the health lead and/or health practitioner.
  • Carry out routine clerical duties as deemed appropriate for maintaining the efficient running of the health Team.
  • Prioritise and organise given workload using own initiative to meet required deadlines.
  • Update statistical data sheets as required.
  • Answer telephone enquiries from partner agencies.
  • Work with colleagues and stakeholders to produce plans that use citizen’s individual needs to identify and reduce their vulnerability to risk situations.
  • Promote the service strategies across the organisation and to other statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Closely work with partner agencies and stakeholders by contributing and participating in new initiatives to support independence and opportunities for vulnerable residents of Manchester.
  • Inputting data on Liquid Logic IT system and relevant information systems are updated accordingly.
  • Ensure all records, processes and systems are up to date and maintained to assist with data collection and performance management.
