We are currently recruiting for a Functional Lead (HR Oracle SME) Payroll based in Greater London.

 

Pay rate: £650 umbrella – per day (paid weekly) – inside IR35

Hours: Full time (3 days on site required)

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

 

Duties:

  • Gather and analyse payroll requirements
  • Work with business to define processes and requirements
  • Partner with vendor (SI) to convert business requirements into technical specifications
  • Review functional designs (e.g., MD50s) for assurance
  • Support testing and training (create materials)
  • Provide assurance and challenge vendor proposals
  • Act as subject matter expert for payroll functionality

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Payroll expertise: Deep understanding of payroll processes and configuration
  • Oracle experience:
  • EBS (strong background)
  • Fusion Cloud (at least 1–2 implementations preferred)
  • Implementation experience:
  • Minimum 2 full payroll cycles
  • Ideally 8–10 years overall experience (flexible for strong candidates)
  • HR knowledge: Nice to have (wider HR skills beneficial)
  • Ability to work independently and liaise with business without constant vendor support
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement (basic, not senior-level)
