We are currently recruiting for an OCGM & POLICE GENGA Coordinator based in Lancashire.

 

Pay rate: £14.85 PAYE / £19.15 umbrella – per hour (paid weekly)

Hours: Full time (37 hrs per week) – Office based

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

 

Purpose:  To coordinate the management of the Organised Crime Group Mapping (OCGM) process and GENGA partnership network to assist in delivering a 4P (Prevent, Protect, Pursue and Prepare) approach to tackle serious and organised crime across the area.

 

Duties:

  • To integrate all material received from internal and external partner organisations to ensure accurate reflection of the current OCG threat and map.
  • Conduct reviews of the OCG database to ensure an impartial approach to OCG mapping, consistency and an accurate reflection of the harm posed by an OCG is met.
  • To participate in departmental tasking processes, providing updates and advising on key threats and partnership disruption opportunities across all tiers of OCGM response to allow a 4P approach in line with the serious and organised crime strategy.
  • Ensure all departments contribute to the tasking process and management of organised crime groups in relation to reducing the risk and threat posed by serious and organised crime across the 4P model.
  • To assist in the creation and delivery of 4P management reports in line with the current tasking process across all departments.
  • To be the local SPOC for receiving GENGA referrals in the respective BCU and assist in generating referrals from partner organisations.
  • Assist in organising local GENGA multi-agency meetings and providing support to the chair of each partnership with agenda planning, reports and briefings.
  • Maintain BCU multi-agency partnership engagement and a collaborative forum to coordinate multi-agency activity and problem solving partnerships.
  • Maintain an overview of the operation of the BCU partnerships and ensure that they operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Co-ordinate the PAM (IT) platform to allow an effective 4P management plan against each Organised Crime Group and an effective partnership referral pathway.
  • To assist in driving activity as highlighted through the local BCU serious and organised crime profiles and action plans.
  • Have an up to date and good working knowledge of intelligence assets available in order to identify opportunities to coordinate a single, joint or multi-agency response to target OCGs or nominals.
  • Assist the Force OCGM & POLICE GENGA Lead with applying a consistent approach to OCGM and multi-agency working.
  • Assist Lead Responsible Officers (LROs), frontline staff and departments to engage with the GENGA process.
  • Update and maintain the directory of partners and agencies tools and powers.
  • Work alongside the civil enforcement team to ensure civil orders are considered against OCG and GENGA disruption targets.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Interrogating computer systems to produce reports and management information.
  • Using police databases to research and record information.
  • Dealing with members of the public and working in partnership with other departments and agencies.
  • Providing advice and guidance to staff and managers on policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with other agencies to protect the community
  • Communicating across a wide spectrum of people both individuals and in groups internally and externally.
  • Producing accurate written information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Computer literate: able to use the full Microsoft office suite in order to produce documents to a high standard (word, excel, power point, access etc)
