Planning Officer – HALTED

We are currently recruiting for a Planning Officer in London.

Pay rate: PAYE £22.19 per hour/UMB £28.50 per hour.

Hours:  Full time (35 hrs per week)

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing.

Purpose:

To process major scale planning applications and provide pre-application advice.

Essential Knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of key issues relating to planning and regeneration within inner London.
• Comprehensive and detailed understanding of planning legislation and policy at national, London and local planning authority level.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the operation of local government.
• Substantial experience of using Development Management processes and procedures to deliver sustainable development.

Essential Experience:

• Eligibility for chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
• Extensive experience and capabilities of working in at least one of the following areas of planning at a senior officer level: Development Management; Plan Making or Place Making (design and conservation).
• Extensive experience in preparing and presenting reports on complex planning issues or major planning applications to senior managers and/or committee members.
