We are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager in London.

 

Pay rate: PAYE £331.25 per day/UMB £435.46 per day.

Hours:  Full time (35hrs per week).

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

 

Duties: 

  • Provide specialist programme management expertise and technical advice relating to capital delivery projects and major programmes, and be responsible for the management of risk, issues, and dependencies across a range of work streams and stakeholder management.
  • Lead on planning and prioritisation of the HAC Capital Programme.
  • Lead the delivery of the HAC Capital Programme projects, currently in excess of £35m with a pipeline of activity in development.
  • Lead on monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and monitoring, including all performance monitoring and financial profiling.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders internally as well as with health partners to deliver capital programmes.
  • Advise and recommend on appropriate design options to maximise health and wellbeing through delivery of the HAC capital programme.

 

Knowledge:

  • Substantial proven knowledge and understanding of capital delivery schemes, project management, stakeholder engagement, procurement and implementation of good practice.
  • Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge and understanding of capital schemes and an understanding of the general design, planning and construction environment, and relevant legislation, specifically within the context of health, healthcare, social care, community safety and general built environment improvement works.
  • Experience in leading the planning, design and delivery of housing and other capital development programmes.
  • Experience in leading risk management of complex building contracts/development schemes.
  • A sound understanding of project technical requirements, the development process and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of the issues relating to the complex projects from inception to completion, with the stages that take place to achieve a successfully delivered project.
  • Knowledge of the risks and opportunities inherent in major capital project delivery, and the tools to manage and maximise these throughout a project’s lifecycle.
  • Budget Management skills.

 

Qualifications/Experience: 

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level and/or with significant relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrable experience and a proven track record of programme management in a capital build environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with high level stakeholders from public and private sector organisations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively at senior management and elected member level.
  • Ability to analyse changing circumstances and requirements, assess implications for service delivery and initiate appropriate responses to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Experience of commissioning and managing specialist consultants to ensure that the Client’s policies and financial regulations are fully met.
