We are currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer in Exeter.
Pay rate: PAYE 247.12 per day/UMB 318.09 per day.
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
This role offers a combination of home working and office working.
Purpose:
The role of the Project Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of projects and programmes. The Project Support Officer will enable the smooth running of assigned projects by supporting the respective Programme and Project Management teams through the operation of project management processes.
Duties:
- Administration – Responsible for project/programme file management using robust version control. Organise and schedule project meetings, taking actions and tracking their progress through to completion. Regular monitoring and triaging of incoming emails through team mailboxes.
- Planning and scheduling – Assist with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling. To include arrangement for and supporting project/programme workshops.
- Monitoring and reporting – Assist in maintaining project/programme controls and in producing programme reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Act as the first point of call for project/programme stakeholder visits. Act as the focal point for project responses to external requests for information.
- Communications – support the maintenance of the project/programme communications site and manage access to related SharePoint sites.
- Risks and Issues – Assist with and maintain risk and issue logs.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
- Experience of working in a project/programme delivery environment.
- Experience of teamwork and contributing to a high performing and collaborative team culture.
- Good awareness of project management principles and how these are applied during the project lifecycle, or a willingness to develop understanding.
- Written and oral communications skills that emphasise both clarity and engagement and show a proven ability to work well with others, including senior stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritise and manage simultaneous tasks unsupervised.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to adapt and prioritise in a dynamic working environment, to support delivery of the project/programme.
- Experience of administering information and data to ensure relevant Government and corporate policies are adhered to e.g., GDPR.
