Security Warden – HALTED

We are currently recruiting for a Security Warden in Cumbria.

Pay rate: £16.89 per hour.

Hours:  Full time (37 hrs per week)

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Purpose:

The Security Warden is responsible for providing a professional security service across the Client’s site.

Duties: 

• Accountable to the Security Warden Team Leader to ensure safe, secure and compliant operations whilst enabling business objectives to the required agreed standards and expectations, allowing for appropriate segregation of duties from other security staff and operating functions across the site.
• Deliver security operational activities in a safe and secure manner as directed by the security operations team leader.
• Operate and control all access/egress to and from security sensitive buildings and areas via building perimeter doors and gates and report and record any unsafe conditions.
• Control and use of security keys for Nuclear Material (NM) stores and security access points, including the completion of key musters to specified timescales.
• Support cross site NM transfers on the Sellafield site.
• Perform security operator regulatory and assurance checks in accordance with written instructions and reports any deviations from expected findings.
• Provision and control of Sellafield Ltd security furniture for classified information, including ensuring classified information custodians and others are briefed in the correct use of security furniture.
• Conduct Perimeter Intruder Detection System (PIDS) testing on various site security boundaries, formally recording results.
• Asist in local plant and site exercises, ensuing all learning is captured.
• Support training of other security operators within the team.
• Interface and communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders as and when required.
