We are currently recruiting for a Service Improvement Lead in Rochdale.
Pay rate: £20.98 per hour.
Hours: 37 flexible working hours per week in accordance with the needs of the service.
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
Purpose:
- Ensuring the delivery of high quality adaptations for adults and children with eligible assessed needs
- Managing performance and quality assurance, resources and budgets.
- Ensuring Legislation relating to Disabled Facilities grant allocation is applied appropriately to all eligible service users
- Ensuring Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to in all works on site by both external contractors and those staff employed directly by the HIA
- Ensuring continuous improvement of work processes to deliver efficient, cost-effective adaptations and services across the HIA
- To actively support workers across the service to increase the number of Careline and AT referrals
- Ensuring effective liaison and communication with key partners in an integrated environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Communicate effectively in all forms at all levels (e.g. public meetings, members, service users etc.) including attending public meetings.
- Work on own initiative and organise/ prioritise own work and that of others.
- Knowledge of building regulations and the ability to read and understand drawings, plans and schedules of work and make accurate mathematical calculations.
- Analyse and evaluate complex information and provide accurate information for specific deadlines.
- Prepare and present reports and explain and present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Work as part of a team and respond flexibly to the day to day demands of the Service.
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace and specifically in relation to the delivery of adaptations by contractors and internal Handypersons
- Ability to monitor budgets.
Experience:
- Working with Adults in a Social care related setting.
- Managing and leading a team
- Liaising/networking with a variety of other professionals and organisations.
- Producing information for the general public, e.g. leaflets, booklets, posters etc. in a clear and concise manner.
- Using information technology including Windows, Word, Excel, etc. and any manual/computerised systems necessary for the effective delivery of services to customers and a thorough understanding of the importance of accurate systems and management information recording systems.
- Carrying out financial means tests in relation to Housing grants or welfare benefits.
- Managing change in a pressured environment.
