We are currently recruiting for a Vetting Researcher in the Manchester area.
Pay rate:15.84 per hour PAYE (paid weekly)
Hours: Full time, part time and compressed hours available. Full-time candidates (36.25 hours per week) can be worked over 4-5 days per week.

Purpose:
To assist the functions of the Vetting Unit by collating, researching, assessing, evaluating and disseminating information and intelligence to assist the Force Vetting Officer in their decision making.
This will involve the interrogation and assessment of national and force specific police databases, including sources outside of police systems in order to determine whether there are any professional and private aspects of concern relating to an individual’s life (financial affairs, friendships and associations and employment history).
The identification of risk based on the assessment and evaluation of the information collated. The role requires practical insight into possible approaches for the mitigation of risk.

Experience:
Former Police Officers or Police Staff who are proficient in the use of the Police national Database (PND) and also the Police National Computer (PNC) and have used within the last 12 months.
